UJ Concert Singers at the Los Angeles Shrine Auditorium
Yes, where the Oscars were!

We played to a full house (over 6300 seats) and were seen on National TV!  It was a wonderful, "Star-Studded" event called "America Celebrates Israel's 50th" that was broadcast on CBS on Wednesday, April 15th 1998 to over 60 countries, including by satellite to Israel!  We performed "To Life", "Hava Nagila" and "At the Same Time" to honor Israel's 50th Anniversary.  The Keshet Chaim Dancers performed to our music, and the list of stars was quite impressive.

Some of the stars included Kevin Costner, Michael Douglas, Stevie Wonder, John Lovitz, Steven Spielberg, Dennis Franz, Harry Connick Jr, Fran Drescher, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Kathy Bates, Sid Caesar, Noah Wyle, Kirk Douglas, Dustin Hoffman, Natalie Cole, Richard Dreyfuss, Did I miss anybody?

Jessye Norman (sang "Yerushalayim" from the top of Masada).

Although our sound was wonderful, the video didn't show us at all...  If the tape were slowed down, brightened and digitally enhanced, you could (maybe) tell that there were people doing the singing!  Anyway, "At the Same Time", was the finale, with soloists Jessica Tivens (16) from Agoura High School, and Dawn L. McArthur (13) from Branson, Missouri.  It was a truly touching piece and we all sounded magnificent together!

Mazel Tov to us all!

L'Chaim!
